We are facing tough economic times in Michigan; I don't need to tell you that because you already know. Most of the people I meet have had to cut back, to tighten their belt, to streamline the way they run their households. But, when it comes to the way the state and federal government have been operating, it is almost like they have unlimited credit at their disposal. Last year the state of Michigan operated on the highest budget in history and even then the governor threatened to cut essential services. With 100's of thousands of people either out of work or leaving our state and businesses closing down left and right our state revenue has decreased, not increased ... then why this increase in spending? When will enough be enough?

Michigan needs jobs and she needs them now. Increasing taxes will not create a business friendly environment; neither will courting new industries with huge tax cuts while increasing taxes on those which are already established. Robbing Peter to pay Paul has been business as usual and throwing money at a problem will not solve it either. It is time to stop and take a good look at how we do business, and as a state government we need to become lean and efficient. This is something we have had to do in our homes and businesses... now it is the time to get our state's budget and finances in line to ensure lasting economic growth.

The Right Choice... to Right Michigan is the focus of this effort. One voice by itself may be stifled, but together we become a strong unified voice that says, "Listen, we are a force to be reckoned with." One person cannot accomplish this by himself - It will take all of us to make it work. The greatest part you can play is to let other people know that they have a viable choice for their next State Representative, and that we all must come together to be that strong unified voice.
